Chapter Meeting - Lunch Presentation
Friday, March 2, 2007
Handlery Hotel -
950 Hotel Circle North - San Diego
Michael J. O’Leary, CFRE
April 17, 1949 – May 30, 1989)
The O’Leary Ethics Luncheon was
established in 1989 by the San Diego Chapter to honor the memory of
Michael. One of Michael's primary contributions to the chapter came
from his focus on raising the awareness of ethical practices and
high standards for fundraising professionals. Michael loved his work
and respected the non-profit sector’s mission of healing the sick;
teaching the ignorant; sheltering the homeless and bringing joy and
beauty through the arts. Michael thought helping in all these ways
to improve the world was the fundraiser's role, and he was proud of
it.
