Raising Big Bucks:
Technology to Enhance Major Gift Fund Raising
9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.

Designed for a team with development director plus associate or technology support staff.

Lecture/overview of the concept of “moves management” and major gifts best practices and how a donor database system can be a tool to support the moves process.

Hands-on, visual demonstrations of the software systems, but focus on concepts rather than specific functions of specific software. Sample database: The Raiser’s Edge by Blackbaud.

“Lightning Round” demonstration of Moves Management on other software products:
Sage, Donor Perfect, CiviCRM, Salesforce.com

Software Demonstration Studio
11:00 a.m. - Noon

The software demonstration studio is a series of informal small group circles staffed by invited software representatives: software company employees, independent consultants or nonprofit development staff who will provide on-going demonstrations and engage in informal conversations. The demonstration studio is a value-added benefit to those attending the luncheon programs that were unable to attend the morning workshop.

A panel of presenters will share success stories and best practices in the use of technology to increase fund raising production from several perspectives:

  1. Donor Database Survey conducted by Nonprofit Management Solutions-best practices.

  2. A consultant's perspective on how successful nonprofits use a donor database to raise major gifts, implement a relationship building process and cultivate high capacity donors.

  3. A senior development professional from a local nonprofit share success stories that used technology to raise more funds.
